Hi I’m Rob. I work as a Library Advisor at Llwyn y Bryn and support all learners with their learning needs and progression. I can help at every stage and my specialist support includes proof-reading, assignment planning, UCAS applications and personal statements, revision techniques, referencing and all the essential and basic skills areas.
Mel Cook
Hi there, I’m Mel Cook, Library Advisor for: Access to Business, Law, Science and Humanities; STEM, Sport and Public Services, Hospitality, Travel and ILS. I have a degree in Maths & Meteorology, a Post Graduate Diploma in Library and Information Studies and a PGCE where I was teaching GCSE Maths.
I enjoy helping students with finding information using the library resources, referencing (including using the Microsoft Word facility), writing personal statements.
I am skilled user of many Microsoft packages and especially like showing students how to create simple graphs using Excel. I am also skilled in supporting numeracy and GCSE Maths.

In terms of support, I can help you identify the most relevant books, articles and websites for your assignment; ensure you acknowledge your sources correctly and proofread your assignment prior to submission. One of my strengths is using digital and social media. I can help you develop innovative ways to improve your presentations.
